Ok, all done. Loved that. Thanks to Bestival and those on the White Isle for having us. Loved playing newie ‘Keep Me Wild’ for the first time too.
“Wadda funky crowd, good vibes allround” - as NO ONE would say (except Reverend + the Makerchumps last night). http://ift.tt/1qkuqLU
Lexington Gig in October is now SOLD OUT
Hi guys, we know it’s nearly 3 months off yet, and it has taken us a little by surprise, but all 230 tickets for our biggest show yet at the Lexington in London have now gone.
We are looking into where we can play another London date at some point very soon so we’ll keep you in the loop.
Maybe instead come catch us at BESTiVAL or at one of the other dates on our tour, all the details are in the ‘shows’ tab above.
Manchester, I think we are down to our last 8 tickets for you too. Quick on the draw now!
Take care all!
Grab your free EP here too remember! http://bit.ly/poiuytrew
This is our latest song ‘Memento Mori’. It is literally Latin for “remember you will die” - it’s a real death fiesta! It has already been played a few times on BBC 6 Music, with Chris Hawkins on the Breakfast Show calling it "Fantastic, a great new single, it sounds superb and Lux Lisbon are band that are getting bigger all the time".
We filmed the video in the studio of our very good friend George Johnson, who is a cabinet maker. We felt his dedication to something that he loved fitted in perfectly with the song’s theme.
We are very much looking forward to playing this for everyone at Bestival, at our sold out gig at the Lexington in London on October 17th, and on our UK tour.
Enjoy! Memento Mori! LL x
Take care tout le monde!
Lux Lisbon at the World Cup.
Serious WC hangover/withdrawal symptoms at Lux Lisbon HQ. I had told you that my life was complete after some ‘Freidel spotting’ with my pal Ed - but how wrong this tragic mid-90’s vintage Blackburn fan was! Looking forward to some rehearsals for the tour and Lexington show - Tom

Tom Cooper Esq
As many of you will know from our Lux Lisbon Loves series of videos, Lux Lisbon’s new axewieldingharmoniser is none other than Charlotte’s Cuz Mr Tom Cooper. And here he is…enjoying his debut gig at the Cluny a couple of weeks back. #justlikethat (thanks to Jo Oliver/Stephen from WheretogoPR for the photo).
I know you are all a lovely bunch, so leave a little welcome message for him below. Or don’t. Both are options.
Week 4 - ‘Lux Lisbon Loves….’ - Keston Cobblers Club - Beam
As you might now know, we’re in week 4 of our series where we share a version of a great song, that you might not know, and that someone else wrote.
This is the wonderful ’Beam’ by Keston Cobblers Club and we’ve put this up a little earlier than the normal Friday slot this week to point out the they play in Stu’s stomping grounds of Newcastle and Durham this week, on 20th and 21st March
Another wonderfully creative and hardworking band, the video for this track is beautiful, and we can personally attest that it goes down a treat in their live show. Our version is definitely a little mellower.
Hope you are enjoying it all!
Week 3 - ‘Lux Lisbon Loves….’ - Spring Offensive - Hengelo
This is the 3rd in out cover series of great, great songs that you might not necessarily know about.
Spring Offensive are an inspirationally hard-working band from Oxford and Hengelo is my favourite tracks of theirs - really clever chord change timings ,a lovely melody and a skittering beat.
Their debut album ‘Young Animal Hearts’ came out last week after many years of relentless gigging and creation and today they head off on a European tour. Have a gander at what they get up to, any success couldn’t happen to harder working chaps. I especially enjoy the aesthetic on this video.
Further recommended - any of about 7 or 8 videos on their youtube channel as well as the 'Story of Hengelo' video
Don’t (you dare) forget that you can grab a free download of ours too if you fancy. It’s called 'Get Some Scars'. Truesay.
WEEK 2 - Youtube Covers Series - “Lux Lisbon Loves…”
For the next 8 weeks, each Friday, we will share a version of a great, great song, that you might not know, and that someone else wrote”
This video has just retweeted by none other than Dry the River themselves - “love this guys!” - why, thankyou very much chaps. Charlotte will be happy with that, she’s a little obsessed with them right now :) Anyway, hope you enjoy the 2nd cover in our series and give a warm welcome our new AXEman, Tom Cooper. He also plays guitar.
Don’t forget you can get a free download of ‘Get Some Scars’ here and watch the video at the tab above.
