BBC Cambridge Session - 2nd March 2013
We were guests on the hashtagtoplegend Tom Simkin’s show on BBC Cambridge tonight, he spun ‘The Devil Got Me Dancing’ and we did acoustic/ukelele/harmony versions of ‘Get Some Scars’ and “Bullingdon Club’. Then Tom treated us to a few ales. Wadda guy. Loved it. Stu wore his ‘space in a face’ Dog is Dead Tee and Rob wore some fetching neckwear.
LUX LISBON EP LAUNCH GIG 14th March 2013 - The Launch Gig for the ‘Get Some Scars EP’ is on Thursday March 14th at the Bull and Gate in Kentish Town. Lux Lisbon will be launching the 4 track ‘Get Some Scars EP’ at the Bull and Gate, London on 14th March with Orlando Seale and the Swell.
A UK tour follows as Lux Lisbon looks to follow a year which has seen them play Bestival, Hyde Park and several BBC Introducing Live Sessions with support from Tom Robinson, John Kennedy and Billy Bragg.

‘Get Some Scars’ played on BBC 6 Music by Chris Hawkins on the Breakfast Show
We are pumped (yes, pumped) that the scholar and gentleman Chris Hawkins played ‘Get Some Scars’ on his show - after plays on the BBC6 Mixtape and Tom Robinson’s Saturday night show. We’ve been in the Studio with James Barr recording 4 new tracks for upcoming release, had a wonderful time. Expect a full list of ‘food in band name’ puns soon. Live BBC Session at BBC Newcastle. The band were guests on Nick Roberts show on BBC Newcastle tonight (29.11.12) playing 3 tracks - including Stuart and Charlotte doing a special acoustic and ukelele version of Billy Bragg favourite ‘Bullingdon Club’. You can listen to it again on the Iplayer for the next week. Thanks so much to the great man Mr Nick Roberts for his hospitality and inviting us in, was brilliant fun.
GSS Videoshoot - 12 hour day finishing the shoot for the Wes Anderson inspired ‘Get Some Scars’ video on Saturday, much of it quite random - a complete stranger in the street offered the use of his mintcondish 1971 Moris Minor (thanks Mick) and we bumped into Javon and his mates from Peckham U11’s football team who now star, bullying Stu on a roundabout. Aces high. Megathanks to Chris Tongue. Should be done in 2 weeks or so. The song is available as a free download.

BESTIVAL 2012 - Us lot playing Bestival last weekend. Twas stupidly sunny, me loving it like that. Had to catch a ferry back before Superstitious Stephen Wonderful however. That isn’t lovely. Thanks to Kate Jackman :)
Just in time for Bestival, we’ve just finished work on a song called ‘Get Some Scars’ and have decided to make it available as a free download. We are very proud of it and want as many of you as possible to be able to hear it right away. Tis a nice bit of soulful melancholic groove. Video for Your Heart Is A Weapon The Size Of Your Fist - Our new single was played on BBC 6music and by John Kennedy on XFM last month and we are very proud to reveal the video for it. It’s based on our mis-spent youth playing 90’s console games and has taken about 200 hours to make. Tis also the first music video to be shot whilst taking part in Zombie Live Action Role Play, yes look impressed, because it is impressive.
